Vietnamese for Foreigners

INTRODUCTION

 

The Vietnamese Language Centre (VLC) was founded in 1987 to cater to the increasing demands for better and more diversified Vietnamese courses for internation nal students. Designed for students wanting an intensive immersion in the lanuage and culture of Vietnam, the centre offers small classes and optionnal field trips. It also helps with visas, airport transportation and housing.

The teachers are all graduates of language programs at Vietnamese, British, Australian, Japanese, Korean or Russian unversities. They have extensive experience teaching Vietnamese as a second and a foreign language in Vietnam and overseas.

VLC regularly organize traning activities such as.

Workshops persented by well- known researcher about deep topics on Vietnamese, Forein Language, Methodology….

Frequently our teachers are sent to foreign universities in the world such as Uniersitiy of Oregon, Osaka University of Foreign Studied, National University of Singapore…

In collaboration with these Universities: Victoria University, Singapore National University, Harvard University, Madison University, University of Yale, Uni. Of Cornell, Guangxi Teaching University, Osaka University, Kanda International University, Kyung Hee University….

 

 

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The VLC offers a wide range of full – time and part – time course as follow:

 

Intensive Vietnamese Program

The course consists of 6 levels( please refer to the Common European Framework)

Students as required to take a placement Test before they are enrolled into the respective levels of the progam. Students will receive a Certificate upon successful completion of each level:

 

Vietnamese For Specific Purposes

The course for students who have special professional requirements. VLC offers some course below:

CLASSROOM SIZE

 

 

Classes meet for 60 hours per week from Monday to Saturday(can be hold in Sunday). Class size ranges from private tutorial to a maximum of fifteen students, permitting teachers to tailor intruction to particular interests. The language of instruction is Vietnamese with staff competent in many major languages.

 


 

Working hours:

Monday to Friday : 8a.m 7:30 p.m

Saturday: 9 a.m 6:30p.m

Sunday: 9a.m 12 a.m
